Connect Telegram

Telegram uses a bot. You create one with BotFather, then paste its token into Chatku.

1. Create a bot

  1. In Telegram, open @BotFather.
  2. Send /newbot and follow the prompts (name + username).
  3. BotFather replies with an HTTP API token — copy it.

2. Create the channel in Chatku

  1. Open Settings → Channels → Add Channel → Telegram.
  2. Paste the bot token and Save.
  3. Click Register webhook — this tells Telegram to send messages to your Chatku inbox.

3. Test

Open your bot in Telegram and send it a message. It should appear in Conversations; reply from the dashboard and it goes straight back to the chat.

Development note: Telegram requires a public HTTPS URL for the webhook. If you're running locally, expose your app with a tunnel (e.g. cloudflared or ngrok) before registering the webhook.
