Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security: after your password, you enter a time-based code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
Turn it on
- Open Settings → Profile.
- In the security section, click Set up 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the six-digit code to confirm and activate.
From then on, you'll be asked for a code each time you sign in.
If an admin manages it for you
Admins can help with 2FA from Settings → Agents & Teams:
- Require 2FA — you'll be prompted to set it up at your next login.
- Enroll in person — an admin shows the QR code on their screen for you to scan, then hands you backup codes.
- Reset — if you lose your device, an admin can clear your 2FA so you can set it up again.
For privacy, an admin never sees your 2FA secret.
Lost your device?
Ask an admin to reset your 2FA, then set it up again with your new device. Keep any backup codes you were given somewhere safe — they let you sign in if your authenticator is unavailable.
